Goderich Electric Ltd. is seeking an applicant with electrical experience for a full-time 309A Construction Maintenance Electrical Apprenticeship position to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
- Assist experienced electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems according to blueprints and schematics. This can include work at residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial job-site locations.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete wiring, conduit runs, and fixture installations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution. Adhere to ESA standards and the current Electrical Safety Code.
- Support low-voltage wiring projects, including alarm systems, communication lines, and control circuits.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical components to identify issues and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while learning best practices in construction maintenance.
- Maintain positive customer relations and communication.
Applicant must:
-Be a Canadian citizen
-Have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
-Have a valid driver’s license
-Have some residential electrical experience and have been involved in a previous trade agreement
-Be in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
-Reside in Huron County
-Have enthusiasm to learn and ask questions
Beneficial but not necessary:
-Current first aid, AED, and CPR training
-Current WHMIS 2015 training
-Current MEWP and WAH training
-Level 1 309A Electrical: Construction Maintenance schooling completed or higher.
